A new adventure!
As of May 10, 2012, I now live in northern Virginia near Washington, DC! So many big changes have happened in a short amount of time. I’m not sure it’s all really hit me quite yet.
After two years of having no luck finding a job back in Minnesota, within 4 days of being in Virginia, I had a job offer. And it was an offer for the most amazing job I have had. I truly do not believe my luck yet. Pinch me! I started about a week ago, and the work seems interesting and challenging, but not anything I can’t handle. The commute is a bit crazy at an hour to two hours one way, depending on the time of day and whether or not it’s raining (lol). I’ll be very happy to have real benefits again. Look out, dentist, here I come!
What brings me to Virginia is love. Aww! My boyfriend (who’s in the Navy) of almost a year got a gig at the Pentagon, so he moved here from Italy in March. So I’m adapting to cohabitation as well. So far so good! It’s nice having him around. Lots of laughs and going to the Avengers and all that fun stuff.
