Hello! I am Angela Koskela, a web designer and developer from MN and on my way to northern VA/Washington, DC area in May 2012. I have been making websites since 2000. It started out as a hobby that turned into a fulfilling career. I worked full-time at a web design and marketing company from 2004-2010. I was promoted to Senior Designer in 2008.
I am currently a freelancing designer and developer for hire! I specialize in front-end web development and WordPress customization, and I can also do graphic design work.
I am also currently deep into my second year in the Graphic Design BFA program at University of Minnesota Duluth. So far, I have maintained a high GPA and made the Dean’s List every semester since I began in the Fall of 2010. I was part of the student senate and the Student Design Organization. I earned an AA degree in Liberal Arts in 2007.
One of the things I find so engaging and fulfilling as a returning student with experience in the field I am studying, is that I can give advice and training to some of my fellow students—and even instructors! I love during downtime just “talking shop” about the web and graphic design fields, new technologies, and ideas of how to use them.
When not working hard, I watch movies, read articles and books, play SWTOR, ride my bicycle, enjoy stand-up comedy, and visit family.
Currently seeking employment and/or clients!
I am moving to Alexandria, VA, in May 2012 (after completing the second year of Graphic Design BFA studies). I am seriously seeking employment in the Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA areas. I am also interested in a telecommuting position based from anywhere.
